New Home Build, Machans Beach! Machans Beach was actually one of the first beach settlements in Cairns and was surveyed in 1885. The land at Machans Beach was purchased by Richard and Christina Machan in the 1920s and from there, families begun living in simple beach shacks on the beachfront.

As the original beach shack at 60 Cinderella Street was an old home of 2 bedrooms, half brick and half fly brow. The owners loved their location so much after living here for almost 4 decades on a stunning 1,115m2 piece of land right on the beach with these gorgeous sea views. A real treasure worth holding onto.

After 18 months of design and selecting finishes and the tiling choices, it was imperative to get this finalised before we started demolition to ensure the owners could move back home in a completely new space without any downtime during our build process.

The pool is the original pool, we removed all the pavers prior to demo and utilised the original pavers upon completion keeping the wonderful aesthetic on the outside of a beautiful tropical beach home.
